We're Back!!!
Literally, we just got back from our vacation to San Diego last night and after a very LONG busy season, I am officially back to blogging. We had a great time on vacation. Lucas loved seeing all the animals at Sea World, the San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Kingdom. The highlight of the trip could have been when we were at the orangutan exhibit and Luke very clearly pointed at one of them and said "Da Da" very loud. He got a good laugh from all of the other spectators - Richard didn't seem to think it was too funny though :). We had great intentions of swimming while on vacation, but the weather didn't cooperate and it was in the high 60's most of the vacation - we had a wonderful time, but were glad to get home and back into the swing of things. Here are a few pictures from our trip. For anyone that has a lot of time, you can check out the link to the full album - Richard has become quite the shutterbug, so he took a lot of pictures.

Back to the Grind
After 2 weeks of vacation, we are back to the grind at home and work. Luke enjoyed being back at daycare - I'm not sure how he got bored at home since our house now looks like Toys 'R Us after Christmas, but he somehow did. His favorite thing to do now is to climb up the stairs. He hasn't figured out how to get back down them, so someone has to follow-up behind him and then carry him down. This is a picture after he made it up the stairs and shut the dogs out behind him. In just 3 short days, Luke turns 1. YIKES! We got a note from daycare on Friday that at one they want to move the infants to the toddler room, but he needs to be walking, not drinking from a bottle, eating table food, napping from 12:30 - 2:30 and sleeping on a cot before he can move. Fortunately, he isn't walking yet so he doesn't have to be ready quite yet. But, he is still eating baby food - he does eat some table food, but I'm always paranoid that he is going to choke, he drinks water from a sippy cup, but he will not take his bottle from the sippy cup, he still needs a morning nap and I'm not sure how in the world they will ever keep him on a cot. Looks like this will be an interesting transition :)! Kim, are you happy - I updated my blog, now join my mob!
