4 Month Appointment

Lucas had his 4-month appointment and is a BIG boy. He now weighs 16 pounds and is 26 1/2 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile for his weight and 90-95th percentile for height. His carseat only goes to 30inches in height, so we are going to have to purchase another one before he turns one. Yippy! He had to get 3 shots at the doctor and an oral medication. He did pretty good - he had a delayed cry after the first shot, but then calmed down pretty quickly. I gave him some Tylenol and then we were off to daycare where he took a 3 and a 1/2 hour nap. He NEVER does that. He got a pretty high fever that night (which they told me could happen), but was good as new when he woke up. On Friday, Lucas, Bailey, Baxter and Mommy all drove to St. Louis. Richard was working in St. Louis for the week and we had plans to visit my sister, her husband and our nephew. Although it is only a four-hour trip, we managed to stop 3 times all after the 1/2 way point. Luke has discovered his feet, is constantly grabbing them.
