We enjoyed the last weekend of summer by going to Table Rock Lake. To celebrate the start of football season (the
Jayhawks did win the Orange Bowl last year, if you recall) Luke sported his new
Jayhawk jersey. I want to get some of those iron-on letters and put his name on the back, but haven't gotten around to that yet.
This was Luke's first time in the lake - he floated around on his life jacket and enjoyed riding the waves as they came in. Here, he is trying out his new
floatie.
In the distance, you can vaguely make out Richard riding my Dad's jet ski - the boys enjoyed riding on it while Luke and I watched from the shallow water.

Not to be outdone by Grandpa W, Papa decided that Luke needed to try a T
wizzler. He loved gnawing on it and drooled red all over his shirt to prove it. Although I was beginning to think that there was no way this could be my son after his disgust for the rainbow sherbet, I definitely know he is mine after how much he went to town on that Twizzler.
